Breast Augmentation Saline/Silicone
>>Before and After Photos of this procedure

COSMED's most popular breast surgical procedure, breast augmentation, is changing the lives of women of all ages. Traditionally, a tiny incision is made half-way around the nipple, which is where the implant is inserted and placed behind the chest muscle.

Our medical staff employs various modern approaches to this traditional technique in order to provide our patients with their desired results. One of these modern approaches is an exciting new trend called Autologous fat transfer for breast augmentation. This can be combined with fat derived stem cells and Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) Both are cutting edge procedures.

The procedure typically takes approximately one hour, whether the patient prefers SALINE or SILICONE implants for augmentation. COSMED's plastic surgeons have extensive expertise with silicone breast augmentation procedures. Please contact us to schedule a consultation and discuss your options for breast augmentation surgery. During the initial consultation, we will perform a physical examination to determine whether you are a good candidate for breast augmentation, and discuss any questions you may have. Breast Lift
>>Before and After Photos of this procedure

A breast lift procedure can undo the effects that gravity, pregnancy and nursing, can have on women's breasts. As we age, our skin loses elasticity, which usually results in sagging and reduced firmness. A breast lift, or mastopexy, can raise and reshape breasts for a given time and also reduce the size of the areola.

Often after pregnancy, breast augmentation and mastopexy are performed in conjunction to increase firmness and size. If you are considering a breast lift, please contact us to schedule a consultation. (Back to Top)

Breast Reduction

A breast reduction is a solution for those with chronic back and muscle pain, and other health-related problems. Other people opt for breast reduction surgery in order to match their physical body dimensions and proportions.

This procedure is similar to a breast lift procedure; rather than moving breast fullness up, it is simply removed. A breast reduction surgery typically takes three hours under general anesthesia and may require an overnight hospital stay. (Back to Top)

CHANGE OF BREAST IMPLANTS

There are many reasons patients request breast implant replacement surgery. Some of these include evidence of capsule rupture and silicone leakage. Other reasons include having implants with questionable quality (Like recently PIP implants found to have been manufactured with industrial grade silicone), wanting bigger size breasts, wanting smaller size breasts (usually needs to be combined with a breast lift procedure) or because of capsular contracture (Painful and deforming contracture of the body's capsule formed around breast implant devices). Breast implant replacement surgery can have many indications such as:

Evidence of capsule rupture and silicone leakage on imaging studies

Older implants (20 years or +) because back then the capsule wasn't such good quality as today's devices and sometimes they leak silicone which also was very fluid like back then.

Having implants with questionable quality (Like recently PIP implants found to have been manufactured with industrial grade silicone)

Wanting bigger size breasts

Wanting smaller size breasts (Usually needs to be combined with a breast lift procedure)

Capsular contracture (Painful and deforming contracture of the body's capsule formed around breast implant devices) (polyestirene implants may be indicated in recurrent cases. )
