Cosmed’s founder and Chief Surgeon since 1987, Dr. Alejandro Quiroz, received his medical degree in 1977 from Universidad La Salle in Mexico City, and further education for foreign physicians at the University of Miami School of Medicine. He completed his residency in general surgery and a three-year fellowship in plastic surgery, both at the National University of Mexico. In 1984, he became Board Certified in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. He has also completed a number of fellowships in the United States, with plastic surgeons in California, Miami, Virgina, and Hawaii.
Dr. Juan Carlos Fuentes received his medical degree from University of Guanajuato in 1989, followed by fellowship training at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas and in the offices of many well-known plastic surgeons in the United States. He is also a former Chief of Residents at Centro Medico Nacional de Occidente in Guadalajara, Mexico, where he completed a plastic surgery residency program.
