Why Are Prices More Affordable?
There are many reasons that prices are more affordable in Mexico than in the United States. Some of the reasons include:
- Lower overall facility operating expenses, lower operational costs on a day-to-day basis
- Despite economic difficulty in US, the exchange rate still favors the Americans that are interested in medical tourism
- Health costs are structured differently in Mexico than in the US
- US medical insurance for doctors is drastically more expensive than in Mexico
- US medical insurance very rarely covers cosmetic procedures, therefore the cosmetic surgery prices in the US are extremely high (as most patients are “private pay” we can offer you better rates)

The Patient’s Health First
We only perform surgeries on patients that are medical candidates for a specific procedure. We will perform a medical assessment, go over the procedures and risks involved in any surgery, discuss your reasons for the surgery and if it is medically necessary or an elective procedure, and give a patient our recommendations based upon current health. At our practice, we believe that the patient’s well-being is more important than potential revenue from one procedure. It may be recommended that you wait for a procedure, or it may be medically necessary as in reconstructive surgeries. We will also consult with the patient and indicate the normal recuperation and whether a hospital stay will be involved. We understand the patient financing is an issue and we urge you to apply for coverage with our preferred partner, Citerra Financial, to help pay for any procedures.
