Can I really reduce the cost of cosmetic procedures?
Of course you can, there are always options. Prices for any cosmetic procedure are considerably higher in the United States than in Mexico.
Why are costs higher in the US?
The Mexican and US health care systems are very different and the exchange rate between the dollar and the peso is a factor. US clinics pay higher costs in general operating expenses, building rental an maintenance costs, malpractice insurance costs, higher prices for pharmaceuticals, higher prices for machinery, and, in general, higher prices for everything than their competitors in Mexico.
My insurance policy does not cover laser hair removal costs in the US. Does CosMed except US insurance?
Unfortunately, we do not, but we do work with our patients to make the procedure(s) as affordable as possible and we also offer patients financing options for non-surgical and surgical procedures.
Will my laser hair removal costs be limited to one bill, one visit?
Most procedures, including laser hair removal and its costs, do require more than one visit. This is of course entirely contingent upon the goals of the patient. If you are having only a small amount of hair removed by our laser procedures, it may only require one visit, but if you are having work done all over you body, it will most likely require multiple sessions.
Is laser hair removal safe?
Yes, it is. We use state-of-the-art CO2 lasers for epilation procedures. We also offer a variety of other laser and radio frequency (RF) treatments from skin resurfacing, photo rejuvenation, subdermal spot fatty deposit removal to wrinkle and scar elimination treatments. Our surgeons are US and Mexico board-certified and are members of many US, Mexico and international cosmetic and medical societies and have practiced in both countries.
